NRA Law Enforcement Continuing Education is a 24-hour course is meticulously designed to meet the NRA’s requirements for Law Enforcement Firearm Instructor recertification. Spread over three action-packed days, the course focuses on advanced firearms training and instructor development.

Tactical Pistol Handling & Marksmanship

Advanced techniques for handling and shooting, focusing on speed, accuracy, and tactical applications. This is an essential skill for Instructors.

Instructor Development Training

Comprehensive training on creating engaging lesson plans, effective communication, and leveraging technology to enhance learning outcomes.

Evaluation and Feedback

A rigorous evaluation process and detailed feedback to help identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Scenario-Based and Stress Training

Real-life scenarios and high-pressure drills to refine decision-making and instructional skills under stress.

To attend NRA Law Enforcement Continuing Education, you must meet the following:

Student Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age & a U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • Bring their firearm & gear (no rentals will be provided)
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Valid / Up to date NRA LE Instructor ID
  • Complete a liability waiver before the start of the class
  • Hold a valid Class K (Florida residents)
  • Bring another form of government-issued ID
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Also, choose pants or shorts with belt loops. Avoid sandals or open-toed shoes.

Firearm & Gear Requirements

  • Semi-auto Pistol (9MM)
  • 250 rounds of ammunition
  • Outside the Waistband Holster
  • (3) Magazines
  • Magazine Holster that’s capable of holding 2 magazines.
  • A Sturdy Belt (able to hold up the weight of your gear)
  • Eye & Ear Protection
