Red Dot Acquisition

The main challenge with red dot sights is quickly and consistently finding the dot. In Defensive Red Dot, we’ll address this issue directly. You’ll learn techniques to avoid searching for the dot and smoothly transition from the dot to the threat.

Red Dot Selection

Red dot sights offer significant advantages, but with so many choices available, picking the right one can be confusing. Defensive Red Dot explores the different types of red dot sights, like closed emitters, and delves into their strengths and weaknesses.

Trigger Work

Experienced shooters can develop bad grip and trigger habits. Defensive Red Dot addresses these issues directly. We’ll help you fix any problems for better accuracy with corrective exercises.

Red Dot Maintenance

This section explains common red dot issues, such as battery life, dot clarity, and parallax. By understanding these challenges, you can prevent problems and improve your red dot’s longevity.

To attend Red Dot Fundamentals, you must meet the following:

Student Requirements

Be 21+ years of age & a U.S. citizen or legal resident
Be legally allowed to own a firearm in the state of Florida
Be able to operate a firearm safely
Complete a liability waiver before the start of the class
A valid government-issued ID or driver’s license
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Also, choose pants or shorts with belt loops. Avoid sandals or open-toed shoes.

Firearm & Gear Requirements

Red Dot equipped Semi-auto Pistol (22LR, 9MM, .380, 40MM, or .45ACP)
(3) magazines
250 to 300 rounds of ammunition
Outside the Waistband holster
(2) Pistol Magazine pouches
A Sturdy Belt (able to hold up the weight of your gear)
Eye & ear protection
