Overcoming Malfunctions

Malfunctions happen, even to the best shooters. Advanced Rifle Defense will take your pistol skills to the next level by equipping you with proven techniques to clear common malfunctions under stress.

Engaging Multiple Threats

Real-world self-defense scenarios rarely involve a single attacker. Advanced Rifle Defense teaches you how to scan your environment and identify and engage the most immediate threat.

Rifle to Pistol Transitions

Advanced Rifle Defense dives deep into the seamless transition between your primary rifle and secondary pistol. You’ll refine your technique for swift and efficient swaps.

Movement & Use of Cover

Real-world encounters are rarely stationary. During Advanced Rifle Defense, you will practice shooting accurately while moving and develop the skills to maintain accuracy and control while on the move.

To attend Advanced Rifle Defense, you must meet the following:

Student Requirements

Have participated in Rifle Defense Fundamentals
Be 21+ years of age & a U.S. citizen or legal resident
Be legally allowed to own a firearm in the state of Florida
Be able to operate a firearm safely
Complete a liability waiver before the start of the class
A valid government-issued ID or driver’s license
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Also, choose pants or shorts with belt loops. Avoid sandals or open-toed shoes.

Firearm & Gear Requirements

AR-15 patterned rifle (22LR, 9MM, .556, or .223)
(3) magazines
400 to 450 rounds of AR-15 ammunition
Semi-auto pistol (22LR, 9MM, .380, 40MM, or .45ACP)
100 to 150 rounds of pistol ammunition
Outside the Waistband holster
(2) AR-15 Magazine pouches
A Sturdy Belt (able to hold up the weight of your gear)
Eye & ear protection
Gloves
